Eagle Aircraft Maintenance provides aircraft maintenance services to Basair Aviation College and external general aviation customers.

Our team supports Basair’s training fleet of Piper Seminoles, Arrows, Archers and Warriors, as well as Cessna 206 aircraft. We take pride in delivering high-quality maintenance and repairs that keep aircraft safe, serviceable and available for our students, instructors and private customers.

The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced General Aviation Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (LAMEs) and Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) to join our teams at Bankstown Airport in New South Wales and Archerfield Airport in Queensland.

These are full-time positions reporting to the Chief Engineer.

The roles provide an chance to work across a varied piston-engine fleet in a busy general aviation maintenance environment.

Key Responsibilities

- carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on piston-engine aircraft;
- inspecting, testing and troubleshooting aircraft structures, engines, mechanical components and systems;
- completing repairs efficiently and in accordance with regulatory, technical and customer requirements;
- maintaining accurate maintenance records, including worksheets, timesheets and aircraft maintenance documentation;




- mentoring and supporting junior AMEs and apprentices;
- working with the Stores team to ensure tools, equipment and parts are accounted for, serviceable and available when required;
- maintaining a clean, organised and safe hangar environment;
- proactively identifying and addressing hazards and taking responsibility for the safety of yourself, your colleagues and others operating around the hangar; and
- communicating professionally with customers, students and other stakeholders regarding aircraft maintenance matters.

Selection Criteria

To be considered for a LAME position, you will require:

- a relevant CASA Part 66 B1.1 or B1.2 aircraft maintenance engineer licence;
- at least four years of relevant general aviation maintenance experience;
- demonstrated piston-engine aircraft experience; and
- the right to work in Australia.

To be considered for an AME position, you will require:

- a relevant mechanical or aircraft maintenance background;
- at least four years of relevant general aviation maintenance experience;
- demonstrated piston-engine aircraft experience; and
- the right to work in Australia.

A current Australian driver’s licence is preferred.
