The Role

Reportingto the Waste Collection Foreman and based in WilberforceNSW. The primary purpose of this role is toprovide kerbside waste collection services to Council’s residential andcommercial clients. It also involves transporting the collected waste to theCouncil’s Waste Management Facility or other designated disposal sites as directed.

About You

You are a reliable and safety-conscious operator who takes pridein delivering essential services to the community. You’ll thrive in a hands-onrole that keeps our city clean and running smoothly. A strong work ethic andcommitment to completing scheduled waste collection routes for both residentialand commercial customers. Confidence in operating heavy vehicles andtransporting waste to designated Council facilities.



A solid understanding of,and compliance with, National Heavy Vehicle Laws. A proactive approach to dailytruck maintenance and the ability to perform minor on-road repairs when needed.Attention to detail in maintaining accurate logbooks and other requiredrecords. A responsible attitude toward vehicle care, including timely reportingof any damage or defects to the Plant Supervisor. You will demonstrate amechanical aptitude and be physically fit to undertake the requirements of theposition.

- Previous truck driving experience
- Understanding of National Heavy Vehicle Laws and compliance
- Proactive approach to daily truck maintenance
- Perform minor on-road repairs when needed
- Attention to detail in maintaining accurate logbooks and other required records
- Previous experience in waste collection industry
- Ability to communicate with customers in a politemanner
- The right to live and work in Australia
- Class HR Drivers Licence
- WHS General Construction Work in NSW
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Successful applicants will be required to undergobackground (police) checks and medical declaration
