Due to continued growth, we're seeking an experienced Passive Fire Technician specialising in fire damper installations, inspections and compliance to join our expanding team.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Installation of fire dampers in accordance with manufacturer requirements,



Australian Standards and the NCC.

- Installation and certification of passive fire systems associated with mechanical services penetrations.

- Fire damper inspections, testing and reporting.

- Identification and rectification of non-compliant fire and smoke dampers.

- Installation of fire collars, fire-rated sealants and passive fire penetration systems.

- Reading and interpreting mechanical services and construction drawings.

- Completing compliance documentation and inspection reports.

- Working closely with builders, consultants, mechanical contractors and certifiers.

- Maintaining the highest standards of safety, workmanship and regulatory compliance.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Experience installing and/or inspecting fire dampers.

- Experience in passive fire protection within commercial buildings.

- Current White Card.

- Current Driver License.

- Strong understanding of construction practices and mechanical services.

- Ability to read plans and specifications.

- Excellent attention to detail.

- Strong communication and customer service skills.

- A commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Highly Regarded





- Certified Passive Fire Practitioner (CPPF or equivalent).

- Experience with AS 1682, AS 4072.1, AS 1851 and NCC compliance requirements.

- Experience installing fire-rated access panels and passive fire systems.

- Mechanical services or HVAC experience.

- Working at Heights.

- EWP Licence.

- First Aid certification.
