Mount Morgan Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Grade 6 to join its Emergency Department on a five-week contract from 13 August to 20 September 2026. This is an opportunity to work in a rural emergency setting where your clinical skills will make a direct impact on patient outcomes. Based in Mount Morgan, Queensland, the role offers a market-competitive salary of AUD$73.35 to AUD$80.94 per hour, with the chance to practise high-acuity emergency nursing in a supportive rural healthcare environment.
- Five-week contract in rural emergency nursing with exposure to resuscitation, triage, and acute patient care

- Work alongside an experienced emergency team in a community-focused hospital setting
Preferred Requirements
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification,
ideally through the Australian Resuscitation Council
- Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) qualification
- Demonstrated competence in emergency triage and patient prioritisation
- Hands-on experience with IV cannulation, resuscitation protocols, and emergency nursing procedures
- Background in rural nursing or willingness to adapt to a rural healthcare context
Preferred Qualifications
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated experience in Emergency Nursing
- Current Aged Care Check or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement
