As aStrategy Associate,you willbe responsible fordriving key modulesonGroupstrategy projectsunder the direction of a managerin collaboration with seniorstakeholders. You willown anddrive complex, detailedanalysis and recommendations development on topicsthat are unique in nature and have high-value and high-impact outcomes for theQantas Group. Strategy projects aregenerally initiatedinternally oratthe direction of the Board, Exco,GroupCEO orGroupCFO orGroupCFO. Examples of project topics may includeinternationalgrowth and expansion,profit optimisation, capital efficiency and effectiveness,andtechnology and AIenabled transformation.

As an Associate you will alsobe responsible fordrivingthe creation of content,



developingandmaintainingstakeholderrelationships andcollaboratively developingsolutions thatassistsenior management in making significant strategic decisions. To besuccessful in this role you will be expected to use the traditional strategy toolkit, as well asusing AIplatformstoupliftefficiencyand quality ofinsights andoutputs.

Whatyou’llbring to the role:

- Minimum of3+ yearsof full-time professionalexperienceata top-tierstrategyconsulting firm (such as Bain, BCG, McKinsey, or Kearney), investment bankorin-house corporate strategy function
- A strong strategy toolkit with outstanding problem-solving, analytical, communication, projectmanagementand teamwork skills
- Experience and exposure to a broad range of industries and complex strategic topics. Airline industry,transportationor heavyindustry exposure is desirablebut not essential
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
- Highly structured style and results-oriented approachandthe intellectual capability to quickly understand and apply new conceptsand think laterally
- Provenability to create high-quality quantitative analysis and written materials for presentation to seniormanagement andExCo
- Advancedproficiencyin Excel,Word and PowerPoint, experience working with AI toolsandexperimenting withfit-for-purpose use cases
- Sound organisational skills with an ability to prioritise conflicting tasksin order tomeet strict deadlines
- Strong verbal communication and relationship-building skills, anda high levelof emotional intelligence to worksuccessfullywitha broad range ofstakeholders across the Qantas Group
- Emotional intelligence and maturity to deal with sensitive and confidential business projects
- A high levelof commitment and professionalism
- A solid interest in the airline industry and a desire to gain knowledge and experience across a variety of Qantas Group businesses
- A desire to work in and contribute to a diverse, collaborative,



high-performing, and social team environment
