We'relooking for a commercially minded, relationship-focused Territory Manager to join our high-performing New Zealand Field Sales team on a 9-month fixed term contract.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established territory across Otago, SouthCanterburyand Central Otago, partnering with some of New Zealand's most important grocery customers whilerepresentinga portfolio of iconic brands loved by consumers every day.
From Dunedin through to Oamaru, Timaru,Twizeland Tekapo,you'llbe responsible forbuilding strong customer relationships, driving in-storeexecutionand leading a team of merchandisers to deliver outstanding results.

The opportunity
This role has become available as a temporary backfill for a highly valued team member currently on extended leave.
The territory is well established, with strong customer relationships across major grocery banners including New World,Pak'nSave, Four Square and Woolworths NZ.
You'llinherit a portfolio with significant potential, supported by an experienced leadership team that is invested in your success from day one.You'llwork closely with Craig Panagiotidis, Zone Manager, who brings extensive FMCG and retail experience and is known for his hands‑on, supportive leadership style.
The role combines customer management, salesexecutionand people leadership, giving you the opportunity to make a genuine impact across both customers and team performance.
What you'll lead
You'lltake ownership of the end-to-end territory agenda, including:
- Building strong relationships with store owners,buyersand store managers
- Delivering promotional plans and commercialobjectivesacross your customer portfolio
- Negotiating displays,
ranging opportunities and promotional activity
- Driving distribution and speed-to-market execution for new product launches
- Improving shelf presence, displaycomplianceand in-store execution
- Managing trade spend investments to deliver robust commercial outcomes
- Leading,coachingand developing a team of six merchandisers
- Presenting store-level business reviews andidentifyinggrowth opportunities
- Managing a structured call cycle acrossapproximately 25-30stores throughout the territory
- Bringing energy,accountabilityand commercial focus to every customer interaction
What success looks like
In your first few months,you'llhave built strong relationships with customers and established credibility across your territory.
Store coverage will be back to expected service levels. New product launches will be landing successfully. Displays will be executed to a highstandardand your merchandiser team will feel supported and engaged.
Over time,you'llcontinue strengthening customer partnerships,identifyinggrowthopportunitiesand delivering consistent execution across the territory.
Most importantly,you'llhelp our brands win at the shelf while becoming a trusted partner to both customers and colleagues.
About you
You're someone who enjoys being out in the market, building relationships and finding opportunities others may overlook.
You may currently be working as a:
- Territory Manager
- Assistant Store Manager
- Account Executive
- Commercial Graduate looking to build a career in FMCG
You'll bring:
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Sales,negotiationand influencing capability
- Excellent organisation and territory planning skills
- Commercial awareness and a customer-first mindset
- The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- A proactive,resilientand solutions-focused approach
- Experience within FMCG, grocery,retailor customer-facing environments (preferred but not essential)
- A genuine desire to learn, develop and grow your career
- Previouspeople leadership experience isadvantageous, but not essential
