You are responsible for the day‑to‑day operational performance of your allocated depots. This includes ownership of safety, job delivery, team performance and equipment control. You ensure all works are safe, compliant and delivered on time, resolve operational issues at depot level, and escape risks early. You uphold the company values of Safety, Integrity, Commitment to Customers, Growth and Innovation in all actions and decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all works comply with legal and company safety requirements.
- Report and manage incidents immediately and complete required safety inspections.
- Ensure staff are trained, licensed and fit for duty, including Return to Work processes.
- Dispatch jobs on time with correct labour and equipment.
- Confirm compliant TMPs, TGS and permits prior to job commencement.
- Resolve operational issues promptly and maintain after‑hours coverage.
- Set behaviour and performance standards and address underperformance early.
- Conduct regular 1:1 conversations and run toolbox meetings
- Maintain a disciplined, professional depot culture.
- Ensure vehicle pre‑start compliance and maintain accurate equipment records.
- Keep depots and vehicles clean, organised and compliant.
- Complete weekly stock checks and protect company assets.
- Review and sign off job dockets daily and meet payroll deadlines.
- Submit required reports on time and follow up issues directly.
- Adjust rosters, reallocate equipment and remove non‑compliant workers from site.
- Initiate performance management discussions and escape responsible risks early.
- Ability to work day or nights depending on the roster.
Qualifications and Experience
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Relevant Traffic Management Accreditation / Licences.
- White Card (Construction Induction).
- First Aid & CPR (current).
- Ability to perform traffic management duties when required.
- Ability to travel between depots as required.
- Experience leading operational teams (preferred).
- Strong communication and problem‑solving capability.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure, take ownership and represent the company professionally.
