LMY Consulting is a boutique tax and business advisory firm based in Sydney CBD, working with SME business owners, business structuring clients, and SMSF trustees across tax planning, structuring, and estate and succession advisory. We take on the same complex, high-value advisory work usually reserved for much larger firms - but without the layers of hierarchy that come with them.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of job scheduling, technical review, and financial/tax return preparation across a portfolio of SME and trust clients. You'll be the key link between our production team and client managers - ensuring work is completed accurately, on time, and to a consistently high standard before it goes to the client. This is a full-time, in-office role based in our Sydney CBD office.

Key Responsibilities

- Schedule and coordinate jobs across the production pipeline, balancing workload and deadlines
- Review completed financial statements and workpapers prepared by accountants, providing clear feedback and quality control
- Prepare financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, and individuals
- Manage client queries relating to job status, documentation, and information requests
- Escalate complex technical or client matters to senior management where required
- Support and mentor less experienced accounting staff through the review process

About You

- A can-do attitude,



with genuine passion for the accounting and tax industry, and a willingness to learn
- Public practice accounting experience preferred (tax and compliance focus)
- Comfortable working with technology and AI-assisted tools in day-to-day workflows
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong quality-control mindset
- Robust technical knowledge of company, trust, SMSF and individual tax returns
- Solid understanding of GST/BAS, Division 7A, and FBT
- Experience with client accounting platforms (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and/or BGL360)
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements for SMEs
- Comfortable working across company and trust structures, not just individual returns
