About the Role
Limelight People are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Midwife to join a dynamic maternity team at a well-established hospital in Brisbane.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across the maternity continuum within the Labour Ward, with exposure to Midwifery, Neo-Natal, SCN, and NICU environments. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care for mothers and newborns. This position requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional maternity care.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver midwifery care in line with recognised clinical standards and hospital policies
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate holistic care for women and newborns
- Provide direct clinical care within the Labour Ward, with involvement in Midwifery, Neo-Natal, SCN, and NICU settings as required
- Support women and families in making informed decisions about their care
- Collaborate with obstetricians, nurses, midwives, and allied health professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and care plans
- Promote patient safety through adherence to infection control and workplace health and safety procedures
- Mentor and support students, new staff, and junior colleagues
- Participate in professional development and competency programs
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient experience programs
Requirements
- Registered Midwife with current AHPRA registration
- Experience working in Midwifery, Neo-Natal, SCN, or NICU environments (Labour Ward experience highly regarded)
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilitiesCommitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
- Ability to maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
Additional Requirements
- Compliance with staff health screening and immunisation policies (including required vaccinations)
- Commitment to workplace safety, qualified conduct, and organisational policies
Desirable
- Experience in private hospital maternity services
- Experience mentoring students or junior staff
- Participation in quality improvement or clinical education initiatives
