We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our team. Remuneration negotiable dependent on level of experience and qualifications.
About us:
We are a boutique accounting firm located in Woolgoolga. StaySharp Accounting was established in 2020 by our principal accountant Stasha Dunn. We service a wide variety of clientele, including individual taxation clients, small and medium businesses and self managed superannuation funds. Due to recent business growth we are seeking an additional accountant to join us. Our small team currently consists of four staff, the principal tax agent, a senior accountant, bookkeeper / administration assistant and a trainee bookkeeper. Our office opens at 9:30 am which may appeal to some applicants, with flexible part time or full time hours available. We welcome applicants with formal qualifications, however, for this role, we place greater value on proven experience and demonstrated capabilities.
About you:
Minimum 3 years recent experience in public practice accounting firm.
Experience working with a variety of business structures; Sole Traders, Companies and Trusts.
High level of computer literacy; in particular experience with Adobe, Excel and Outlook.
The ability to analyse client records and communicate with the principal accountant or directly with the client to obtain the necessary information to complete the task.
Experience using, Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks. Experience with Class Super is desirable.
Motivated to produce quality work, good problem solving skills and attention to detail.
Able to follow procedures and take a methodical approach to complete tasks.
Solid organisational skills, ability to manage work proactively and adhere to deadlines.
Ability to work both independently and as a positive team member.
Must be willing to work from our office in Woolgoolga.

Preparation of Activity Statements, Tax Returns and Financial Statements, for individuals and business clients across all entity types. This may extend to SMSF compliance for the right applicant.
Communicate effectively to obtain the necessary information to complete work to a high standard.
Maintain the level of knowledge required to competently perform your role, while demonstrating a willingness to learn, grow and develop new skills to support ongoing professional development.
