Well-established Australian owned company operating for 70 + years would like to give an opportunity for a suitable person to join a manufacturing team in our Warriewood based workshop.

QUALIFICATIONS / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE BUT NOT NECESSERY

- Australian recognized Trade Qualification as a First-Class Machinist
- CNC operator and programmer with over 3 years of experience.
- Programming experience with SolidWorks software
- Programming experience with ESPRIT or similar software
- Experience with DMG MORI 5-axis machines or similar.
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for this position !

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Programming/setting & operating various CNC machines for production of specialised metal components
- Understand/read technical drawings and specifications
- Perform inspections to ensure conformance
- Review CAM-generated toolpaths and optimise cycle times




- Troubleshoot machine issues, tool wear, and alarms
- Collaborate with production supervisor & staff to improve workflow
- Maintaining tight tolerances.
- Use and understanding of precision measuring tools (e.g. micrometres, vernier callipers and other CMM equipment) to verify accuracy and quality
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions and production schedules.
- Willingness to learn and adapt within a fast-paced, collaborative workshop environment.
