Reporting to the District Manager, the Store Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performanceand compliance of the store, ensuring operations align with company policies, procedures. The Store Manager is accountable for achieving or exceeding sales, donations, expense and profit targets while driving business growth through optimal utilisation of Housewares Housewares and FOLI (Furniture, Other, Large Items) operations.
The role oversees all key store functions, including merchandise receiving, goods movement to and from the Offsite Processing Centre (OSP), Housewares/FOLI, sales floor operations and the Community Donation Centre (CDC).
Leading by example the Store Manager takes ownership of results and drives performance through working with the Assistant Manager, Production Supervisor and broader store team. Through hands‑on leadership, the SM coaches, develops and manages team performance to achieve business objectives.
Your key responsibilities will include;
- Achieve sales, profit, production, productivity, and OSD targets.
- Monitor performance, analyse results,
and drive improvements.
- Maintain solid sales floor standards and inventory flow.
- Lead, coach, and develop managers and team members.
- Manage recruitment, training, and workforce planning.
- Foster a positive, values-driven and high-performing culture.
- Optimise merchandising, promotions, and stock management.
- Ensure sales floor readiness, pricing accuracy, and operational standards.
- Maximise profitability, productivity, and recycling outcomes.
- Ensure donation programs meet company standards.
- Build community partnerships and drive donation growth.
- Coordinate OSD and FUNdrive activities with OSP.
- Deliver exceptional customer and donor service.
- Coach teams on service standards and engagement.
- Resolve enquiries and use feedback to improve experiences.
- Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and safety standards.
The ideal candidate will be a results driven retail and operations leader with strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication and proven ability to plan, organise and lead teams. You’ll demonstrate sound judgment, effective decision-making and be proficiency with Microsoft Office.
