This is a pivotal role within our Engineering and Maintenance function, combining maintenance planning, inventory management, purchasing coordination, and engineering project support. Reporting to the Head of Engineering and working closely with the Maintenance & Improvements Supervisor, you'll help ensure our assets remain reliable, maintenance activities are well planned, and projects are delivered efficiently and safely.

About the Role

As the operational backbone of our Engineering team, you'll play a critical role across three key areas:

Maintenance Planning & CMMS Administration

- Manage the lifecycle of preventative and corrective maintenance work orders through the MEX CMMS platform.
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including labour hours, spare parts usage, and asset history.
- Develop and maintain weekly and monthly maintenance schedules.
- Generate reports and KPIs to support asset performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.

Inventory & Spare Parts Management





- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels for maintenance spare parts and consumables.
- Raise purchase orders and coordinate procurement activities through MEX.
- Manage maintenance stores, ensuring stock accuracy, organisation, and housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Conduct regular stocktakes and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Track purchasing records, invoices, receipts, and usage data to support budget management and cost control.
- Support the Head of Engineering with planning and administration of capital projects and site improvement initiatives.
- Assist with project scheduling, milestone tracking, and resource coordination.
- Source quotations, technical specifications, and product information for equipment and engineering projects.
- Coordinate contractors, including quote management, site access, inductions, and compliance requirements.
- Support project documentation and ensure key deliverables remain on track.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

Technical Experience

- Previous experience in a maintenance planning, engineering administration, maintenance stores, or manufacturing support role.
- Sound understanding of industrial equipment, spare parts management, and maintenance processes.

Systems & Analytical Skills

- Experience using a CMMS such as MEX, SAP PM, Maximo, or a similar maintenance management system.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.




- Experience using Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software will be highly regarded.

Communication & Organisation

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to liaise across all levels of the business and with external suppliers and contractors.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
- Interest in leveraging technology, automation, AI tools, and process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a energetic manufacturing environment.
