About the Role
As a Medical Secretary at QCG, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our clinics. You’ll be the first point of contact for patients, delivering a warm, professional and patient focused experience and will be responsible for the following tasks:
Manage and organize the specialist Cardiologist's diary, ensuring optimal allocation of appointments and resources.
Efficiently schedule and coordinate medical appointments, tests, and procedures with precision.
Handle incoming calls from patients, medical professionals and internal departments professionally.
Welcome and arrive patients with a warm, patient-centric approach.
Accurately process patient invoicing for medical appointments, tests, and procedures.
Maintain accurate records and data entry of confidential patient information.
Efficiently manage and access medical records while ensuring confidentiality and data security.
Facilitate effective communication between patients, cardiologists, and other medical professionals.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a Medical Secretary, or in a similar role in a healthcare setting.
Exceptional communication, and interpersonal skills, with a strong patient focused approach.
Highly collaborative team player with a positive, can do attitude, and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced environment.
Proficiency in medical terminology and healthcare procedures, including Medicare, and health funds.
Proficiency in standard office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
Highly Regarded:
Experience in cardiology and a hospital environment would be a significant advantage.
