About the role

SAI VTYS PTY LTD, trading as Kobbers Motor Inn, is seeking an experienced and motivated Hotel / Motel Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our 22-room motel and on-site licensed restaurant in Dalby, Queensland. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of accommodation, food and beverage, guest services, staff leadership, financial performance, and operational compliance while maintaining high standards of service and hospitality. The successful candidate will manage daily operations, supervise and develop staff, coordinate rosters, monitor budgets and occupancy, implement strategies to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction, ensure compliance with relevant legislation and workplace standards, and foster a positive team environment that delivers exceptional guest experiences and supports the continued success and growth of the business.

Key responsibilities

- Manage daily operations of the hotel/motel.
- Oversee reception, reservations, guest check-in and check-out procedures.
- Supervise housekeeping, maintenance and front office operations.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and promptly resolve guest enquiries and complaints.
- Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate staff performance.
- Prepare staff rosters and coordinate daily operational activities.
- Monitor occupancy levels and implement strategies to maximize revenue.
- Manage budgets, financial reporting, purchasing and stock control.
- Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety requirements and relevant hospitality legislation.
- Maintain property presentation, cleanliness and maintenance standards.
- Supervise, train, and support restaurant and bar staff, prepare rosters, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with food safety, RSA, and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Manage restaurant reservations, customer enquiries, and guest feedback,



resolving service issues promptly to maintain an exceptional dining experience.
- Monitor inventory, order food and beverage supplies, control stock levels and operating costs, and work with the kitchen team to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure smooth business operations.
- Promote the business through online booking platforms and marketing initiatives.
- Prepare operational reports for management

What we're looking for

- AQF Diploma, Advance Diploma or bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Hotel Management or a related field.
- At least 1years of relevant full-time experience in hotel, motel or accommodation management.
- Must have RMLV (Responsible Management of Licensed Venues) Certificate

- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Experience using hotel reservation/property management systems and channel manager software’s.
- Strong financial and budgeting skills.
- Knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality setting, including weekends and public holidays where required.
