About the business
Access Recreation is a well-established Not for Profit Service that provides quality supports to people with a disability in the Rockhampton & Bundaberg Regions. We have been providing ongoing quality support to people with a disability since 1989. Access Recreation offers a wide range of services to people with a disability so they can lead more meaningful, independent and satisfying lives through the development of personal, leisure and social skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and oversee participant service delivery in line with NDIS requirements
- Facilitate client intake processes including quotes, service agreements and onboarding
- Develop and monitor individualised, goal-focused support plans
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure required documentation is current and compliant
- Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to front-line staff
- Support a culture of continuous improvement, safeguarding and active support
- Build strong working relationships with families, carers and external service providers
Skills and experience
To be successful in the role you will need:
- Relevant qualification or industry experience (eg.
Degree in Human Services, Cert IV in Disability Services)
- Experience in Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices, Mental Health, Trauma-Informed Practice, and delivering complex/high-intensity supports is highly desirable. Previous experience in Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Child Safety is also highly regarded.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and who the changes effective both clients and organisations
- Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders
- Demonstrated commitment to quality outcomes and strong client service
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently and as part of a team
