First Response Restoration is an industry leading insurance and disaster restoration provider. We have a reputation for providing exemplary outcomes for our clients, whilst operating in a dynamic property restoration field, exclusively for the insurance repair market.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee our restoration operation in NSW. Working closely with Skyline Building Group (affiliated insurance building provider) you will ensure seamless coordination between teams while delivering high-quality outcomes for clients.

Key responsibilities include:

- Collaborating with Restoration Technicians, Project Managers, and Skyline Building Group to ensure effective coordination across teams
- Scoping, estimating, and planning restoration works, ensuring projects meet timelines, budgets, and WHS requirements
- Developing and managing project schedules, holding internal teams and contractors accountable for quality and timely delivery
- Leading toolbox meetings to ensure technicians are prepared and resourced for scheduled works
- Preparing estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts to ensure accurate costing and project profitability
- Overseeing inventory, equipment, and asset management, including the company's contents storage facility
- Coordinating restoration and make-protected works across a range of claims, from major and complex losses to business-as-usual work




- Driving innovation through advanced technology such as 3D scanning and digital restoration tools, and troubleshooting technical issues as they arise
- Supporting the ongoing training and development of restoration technicians, in partnership with the Restoration Team Leader
- Conducting WHSE site audits and risk assessments, and implementing risk mitigation procedures
- Managing client expectations through clear, regular communication to ensure a positive customer experience
- Participating in an on-call roster for out-of-hours make-safe works

About You

- Proven management experience across water, mould, and fire restoration
- Experience working across commercial, residential, and strata restoration projects
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, managing multiple projects and teams
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
- Strong customer service focus and relationship management skills
- Solid understanding of WHS requirements and procedures
- Construction White Card
- Strong computer literacy; experience with Loop Logics advantageous
- Current Working With Children Check and Police Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
