You will join the team at Coastwide Engineering to complete a Certificate III Engineering - Fabrication trade over four years. Your duties will include:
- Use various hand and power tools
- Weld and cut various materials
- Fabricate large and diverse industrial equipment
- Mark out jobs, set up machines, prepare materials, tools and fixtures forfabricating
- Apply fabrication, forming and shaping techniques
- Assemble fabricated components
What we’re looking for
The ideal apprentice will:
- Ability to work in a team setting
- An understanding of mechanical knowledge
- Commitment to full term of the apprenticeship and study requirements
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills and knowledge
- Demonstrated interest/passion in the trade
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills, numeracy and literacy
Must-haves
- Willingness to undergo pre employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
- Construction Industry White Card (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
- Valid Provisional Drivers Licence
