The Salvation Army (Salvos) Manly Corps is a Christian Church in the heart of Manly. As a Community Centre Coordinator, this is your opportunity to supervise and support the day-to-day operations of the Manly Salvos Community Centre, ensuring the smooth delivery of community meals, centre activities, and volunteer coordination in alignment with The Salvation Army’s mission.
Reporting to the Mission Leader, this is a permanent, part-time role offering 20 hours, 3 days per week, based in Manly, NSW.
Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operations of the community centre, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-organised environment.
- Coordinate volunteers, including rostering, onboarding, and ongoing administrative support.
- Assist in the delivery of community programs and services, addressing and escalating operational issues as required.
- Manage routine financial administration, including transaction processing, record‑keeping, and budget support.
- Maintain accurate records, systems, and documentation while providing timely administrative support.
- Collaborate with the Mission Leader and team to support service delivery, community events, initiatives, and fundraising activities.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Financial Management or demonstrated experience managing budgets and financial processes.
- Strong communicator with excellent organisational skills, able to manage priorities and build positive stakeholder relationships.
- Committed to supporting organisational goals and engaging with the local community to make a meaningful impact.
- A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check is required.
- Working with Children’s Check.
