The Opportunity

The Plant Operator - Truck & Dog is responsible for undertaking maintenance and construction duties through the skilled operation of Council's plant fleet.

This role encompasses a range of duties and responsibilities which may vary as directed by Council. The key ones include:

Providing a high standard of operating skills on civil construction and maintaining plant and other equipment;

Communicating effectively to ensure an understanding in maintaining assigned equipment;

Completing allocated tasks consistently within agreed time frames; and

Be aware and adhere safe work practices to ensure all risks are minimised.

About Yourself

Suitability for this position will be based on experience, application, achievement, and potential in the following critical competencies as they link to the key responsibilities for this position.

Proven/Demonstrated experience in:

The operation of truck and dog tippers and transport equipment.

Providing communication that can be clearly understood.





Involving others and sharing important and relevant information with supervisor and team.

Following regulations and safety procedures and providing assistance to others when necessary.

Reporting unsafe working conditions/practices responsibly.

Salary Packaging Available

Leave Loading

You will receive 17.5% leave loading on top of your base rate of pay, while you are on Annual Leave.
