As a full time Fitter / Rigger at Boneyard Fabrications, you'll play a vital role in being part of the team that ensures projects are run smoothly and efficiently both on site and in the workshop
What you'll be doing
- Carry out hands-on mechanical fitting tasks to the highest standards using a range of specialised equipment
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to guide the fabrication process
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise, implementing effective solutions
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety procedures and quality control measures
- Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to more junior team members
- Liase with clients to complete the projects to the highest standards they expect
What we're looking for
- Formal trade qualification as a fitter and rigger
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in metal fabrication, welding and assembly techniques MIG, TIG and STICK
- Mechanical fitting skills inclusive of bearings, gearboxes, machining and setout of machinery
- On site breakdown experience
- Steelwork and rigging experience to work with our franna
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards
- Sound understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Positive, collaborative attitude and effective communication skills
