The Executive Officer provides high-level strategic governance and operational support to the Chief Executive Officer and serves as a key contributor to the effective leadership and governance of Communicare.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-level governance and executive support to the CEO, Board, and Board Committees, ensuring effective decision-making and organisational accountability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Board Directors, executive leaders, government agencies, funding bodies, and strategic partners.
Coordinate Board and governance meetings, prepare executive briefings and reports, and manage key organisational initiatives and events.
Oversee governance frameworks, compliance requirements, risk monitoring, and continuous improvement of governance systems and processes.
Act as a trusted advisor within the Executive Office, delivering professional, confidential, and solutions-focused support in a quick-paced environment.
This is apermanent full-time role working76 hours per fortnight and is located inCannington.
Due to the nature of the position attendance outside normal business hours may be required to support Board meetings governance forums stakeholder events and the Annual General Meeting. Occasional travel may be required.
About You
Proven experience in a senior Executive Officer, Governance, Executive Support, or Corporate Services role.
Strong knowledge of corporate governance, Board and Committee operations, compliance, risk management, and organisational accountability.
Demonstrated experience supporting Boards and executives, including coordinating governance processes, Board reporting, and Annual General Meetings.
Exceptional written communication skills, with experience preparing Board papers, reports, briefings, minutes, and executive correspondence.
Relevant qualifications in Business, Governance, Public Administration, Law, Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Highly organised, qualified, and discreet, with the ability to manage sensitive information and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Current National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain), Department of Justice Clearance eligibility, and a current C Class Driver's Licence.
