Eagers Automotive is seeking a business analyst to join our QLD Corporate team. Reporting to our Regional Financial Controller, this role is the analytical and optimisation mastermind supporting the senior leaders across Queensland. If you have a passion for diagnosing what's working and what needs attention, building commercial models and plans that drive decisions, and suggesting improvement actions, this is role is for you.

It's a hands-on, working across sales, service, parts, and customer operations - getting into the detail, making sense of the numbers, and translating findings into clear presentations that drive action and accountability.

You’ll combine business analysis, commercial insight, and continuous improvement to identify opportunities, solve problems, and support decision-making at every level. The role directly impacts profitability, productivity, working capital, and customer outcomes - so the right person needs to be comfortable moving between financial modelling, operational diagnostics, and executive-level communication.

You’ll work closely with the QLD GMs, divisional leaders, and operational managers - trusted to tell it straight, back it up with data, and drive real outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

- Lead deep-dive analysis across sales, service, parts, and customer operations to identify bottlenecks, margin leakage, and improvement opportunities.

- Conduct structured P&L; reviews to pinpoint cost drivers, margin trends, and commercial risks.

- Build models and dashboards that quantify operational issues, forecast impacts, and support investment decisions.

- Translate strategic priorities into clear workstreams with defined outcomes, owners, timelines, and measures.

- Track and report on benefits realisation from improvement initiatives - make sure the gains stick.

- Identify where performance is leaking and work with operational teams to fix it.

- Prepare agendas, insights,



and materials for leadership meetings - ensure every session drives real alignment and decisions.

- Prepare board papers, project submissions, and investment cases with transparent commercial rationale and quantified benefits.

Essential criteria

- Proven experience in business analysis, commercial analysis, or business optimisation - you've done this before and have the results to show for it.

- Strong financial acumen - you're comfortable reading a P&L;, building a budget model, and presenting the numbers at an executive level.

- Advanced Excel and Power BI skills - you build models and dashboards that others rely on.

- Experience preparing board papers, business cases, and investment submissions.

- You can communicate clearly at all levels - from a site manager to a board.

- Experience working directly with senior leaders - you know how to support decision-making at that level.

Desirable

- Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Economics, or Data Analytics.

- Experience in automotive retail - you understand how sales, service, parts, and customer operations actually work.
