Due to strong ongoing growth, we are seeking a talented Project Engineer to join our dynamic and collaborative team.

Position Overview

As a Project Engineer, you will lead and support projects through all phases — from initial design through to on-site commissioning. You’ll ensure delivery to scope, schedule and budget, while maintaining high technical standards and strong client relationships.

You will be a proactive, self-driven professional, capable of working independently and as part of a cross-functional engineering team.

Key Responsibilities





- Interface directly with clients to define and clarify scope and technical requirements
- Develop technical documentation from concept through to detailed design
- Prepare Heat & Mass Balances, PFDs, P&IDs;, equipment lists, and datasheets
- Perform heat transfer and fluid flow calculations
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop GA, elevation layouts, and piping drawings
- Write clear and concise process descriptions
- Perform interdisciplinary coordination to minimise design errors
- Conduct Risk Assessments and participate in HAZOP studies
- Prepare tender work packages and procurement documentation
- Manage contractor work packages and third-party equipment procurement
- Report on project schedule, budget, and progress
- Participate actively in project phases including installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Travel as required for meetings, site work, and commissioning support

Qualifications and Experience

- Engineering degree in Process, Chemical, Mechanical, or Food & Beverage Engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in process engineering, ideally within the food, beverage, or chemical industries
- Strong knowledge of process fundamentals and systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts
- Proven project implementation and execution experience
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Detail-focused with a proactive and creative mindset
- Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Competency in project planning and time management
- Drafting experience with AutoCAD and/or Plant 3D (preferred)
- Willingness to travel interstate as needed
- RPEQ registered is preferred
