Apprentice Mobile Plant Mechanic – Townsville

Flexihire Pty Ltd, a progressive Queensland & NSW based, 100% Australian owned Equipment Hire Company, is seeking to appoint an apprentice mechanic to become part of our multi skilled team in our Townsville Branch.

Reporting to the Branch Manager and allocated tradesmen you will gain:

- Experience with working on a large range of hire equipment including but not limited to :

Rollers, Excavators, Generators, Lighting plant, Access Equipment and various small plant.

- Obtain a Nationally recognized qualification with on and off the job training.

- Experience and knowledge of working in the hire industry.

Prior to being offered a final selection interview, applicants should preferably have:

- Successful completion of Year 12,



with a pass in mathematics and English.

- Completed a mobile plant pre-apprenticeship course. (Advantageous but not essential)

- Hold a current QLD drivers licence. (Essential)

- Be willing to work in other Flexihire branch locations as required

- Be totally committed to safe work practices.

- Have attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team and solo.

- Hold a high risk forklift licence (LF) (advantageous but not essential)

- The ability to adapt to change in a fast paced environment

- Intermediate computer/technology skills

The successful candidate will be required to meet our pre-employment criteria including drug and alcohol screening & pre-employment medical prior to an Offer of Employment being made.
