Assistant Accountant / Property Accounting Assistant
AIME Property Pty Ltd is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant / Property Accounting Assistant to join our long-established investment group based in Eight Mile Plains.
As the management and administrative hub for a diverse group of entities, AIME Property Pty Ltd supports businesses with a history spanning more than 65 years across a broad range of property and investment sectors, including commercial and residential property, service stations, medical and retail centres, residential subdivision, lifestyle resorts and childcare.

Working closely with experienced team members, you will gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of property, investment and operating entities while developing your accounting, property and business administration skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.
About the Role
You will work closely with our accounting team across a diverse portfolio of property, investment and operating entities, assisting with:
- Monthly rental invoicing and tenant account administration
- Rental and outgoing arrears monitoring and follow up
- Accounts receivable processing and debtor management
- Bank reconciliations and supporting workpapers
- Payroll administration support and employee record maintenance
- BAS preparation support and document collation
- Property management accounting and reporting support
- Lease administration, rent reviews and contract administration
- Electronic filing, document management and compliance record keeping
- Assisting with management reporting and ad hoc accounting projects as required
This role is designed to support and work alongside senior accounting staff, with opportunities to expand into broader accounting, property and compliance responsibilities over time.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, Diploma of Accounting, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting, bookkeeping or assistant accounting role
- Experience with Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliations
- Exposure to payroll, BAS preparation and general accounting support functions
- Experience using accounting software such as MYOB & Xero
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Robust written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Property industry experience advantageous but not essential
- Full Australian working rights required
