JRT Group has existing and upcoming civil projects across Rockhampton and Yeppoon and is seeking experienced Pipe Layers to join our team.

If you have proven experience installing underground services on civil subdivision projects and take pride in quality workmanship, safety, and productivity, this is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable local contractor.

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for installing underground pipe systems across civil subdivision projects while ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and in line with project specifications.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Digging and preparing trenches to correct depths, grading trench bases
- Laying, aligning, and joining pipes for water, sewer, and drainage systems, ensuring correct gradients and compliance with specifications
- Installing subdivision infrastructure including water, sewer, and drainage networks
- Connecting pipes using adhesives, cement, or welding, or approved joining methods to ensure secure, leak-proof joints
- Working alongside plant operators and site supervisors to achieve daily production targets




- Operating equipment such as excavators, backhoes, lasers, compactors, and other hand and power tools as required
- Working to construction programs and project schedules
- Apply all work health and safety related requirements to the role
- Completing daily paperwork and documentation associated with project works

Job Requirements:

- Demonstrated experience as a Pipe Layer on civil subdivision projects (essential)
- Experience installing water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure
- Ability to reach and interpret plans, set-out information, and service drawings
- Solid understanding of grades, levels, and pipe installation requirements
- White Card (Construction Induction)
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Relevant plant tickets and licences highly regarded
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
