Are you an experienced ophthalmology professional ready to take ownership of a role that truly matters? Pure Sight Eye Surgeons is looking for an experienced Surgical Bookings Coordinator to become the backbone of our patients' surgical journey, from first consultation through to post-operative recovery.

This is a permanent, full-time position suited to someone with genuine ophthalmic or surgical administration experience who wants to build a long-term career in a specialised, high performing practice.

About the Role

As our Surgical Bookings Coordinator, you will manage the full surgical coordination process with precision, care, and confidence. You'll work closely with our surgeon and clinical team to keep every booking, document, and detail on track, ensuring our patients feel supported at every step.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage surgical bookings and coordinate pre- and post-operative appointments
- Prepare theatre lists, surgical quotes, consent forms, and other essential documentation
- Liaise with the surgeon and clinical staff on lens calculations and selection
- Support patients over the phone and in-clinic with warmth and professionalism
- Assist on consulting days with room coordination and patient queries
- Provide front desk relief as needed to support the wider admin team
- Work alongside the Reception Manager to maintain visibility over the surgical schedule and doctor workload





What We're Looking For

- Preferred previous experience in an ophthalmology or ophthalmic surgical setting is essential. We are not able to consider applicants without this background, including students or those seeking entry level or work experience placements.
- Proven experience managing surgical bookings, theatre lists, or clinical scheduling
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills, particularly with IOL orders and consent documentation
- Confident, clear communication with surgeons, clinical staff, and patients
- A compassionate, patient-focused approach paired with commercial awareness
- The ability to stay composed and adaptable in a fast-paced surgical environment
