Ferrymen NSW are the longest serving and most experienced vehicular ferry operators in Australia.

We have a casual position available to join our team of ferry operators on the Hastings River in Port Macquarie, NSW.

This role is ideal for someone seeking genuine casual employment. Hours will vary depending on operational requirements, with approximately 20-30 hours available per week. There will also be opportunities to work additional hours when permanent employees are on annual leave, personal leave, or other planned absences.

Applicants must have availability to work across a 7-day roster, including morning, afternoon and night shifts, as well as weekends and public holidays. Flexibility and reliability are essential.





The role involves operating a vehicular ferry and transporting customers safely across the Hastings River between Settlement Point and Hibbard. It is well suited to applicants who can work effectively both as part of a team and independently. Previous experience in transport, the maritime industry, or operating large plant or machinery is desirable.

Applicants should be self-motivated, well presented, and possess excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills. A solid commitment to safety is essential.
