The Role

We are looking for a Static Equipment Engineer to join our Moranbah Operations team. Reporting to the Lead Static Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the static equipment function across site through the development of maintenance and reliability strategies, asset integrity management and continuous improvement initiatives.

Working closely with operations, maintenance and engineering teams, you will provide technical expertise to improve equipment performance, reduce reliability risks and support secure, efficient plant operations.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and optimising maintenance and inspection strategies for static equipment assets
- Supporting asset integrity programs and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and statutory requirements
- Leading equipment failure investigations and implementing reliability improvement initiatives
- Conducting risk assessments, inspections and engineering studies to improve equipment performance
- Supporting turnaround planning, scope development and execution activities
- Collaborating with site teams to identify, evaluate and implement improvement projects

Tertiary qualification in Mechanical,



Materials or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.

Experience working within a Petrochemical, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas processing industry or heavy industrial environment (Desirable).

Exposure to Ammonia plant or Nitric Acid/Ammonium Nitrate plant is Highly preferred.

Experience in pressure equipment reliability, asset integrity and inspection programs.

Knowledge of failure mechanisms, materials, welding processes and engineering standards relating to static equipment.

Experience with reliability-centred maintenance, risk-based maintenance and root cause analysis methodologies.

RPEQ, CPEng, NPER, AICIP or API qualifications will be highly regarded.
