The Opportunity
We have a large pipeline of upcoming projects and are expanding our team. JAC Civil is seeking an experienced MC Operator for a permanent, full-time or casual role. Join a market leader in civil construction, working with major clients such as Fraser Coast Regional Council and HQ Plantations.

About the Role
As our MC Operator,
you will:
- Operate and maintain MC-class vehicles including conventional side tipper, water tanker, float, and truck and dog combinations
- Undertake a range of tasks relating to road works, quarry haulage, bulk earthworks, and site works for various clients across the Fraser Coast
- Perform daily checks and servicing of vehicles, rectifying any concerns and completing accurate reporting
- Work both autonomously and as a part of a team, supporting project processes and delivering quality outcomes
- Participate in manual handling or labouring activities during machine downtime or when supporting team members
- Liaise with supervisors and project teams to align operations with project timelines and safety standards
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Key Requirements
- Current MC licence and QLD white card or willingness to obtain (essential)
- At least 1 year’s experience operating truck and dog combinations or equivalent heavy vehicle combinations in civil construction or related environments
- Proven track record in the safe operation of MC vehicles across a range of situations
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and care
- Ability to prioritise, plan, and complete tasks with limited supervision
- Good communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Physically fit and willing to participate in manual handling if required
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation
- Willingness to upskill and participate in training
- Ability to travel locally for site work
