Evolution Technology Group (ETG) is expanding into the Sunshine Coast, and we’re looking for an experienced technician to join our team and play a key role in delivering major commercial projects.

This is an exciting prospect to become one of the first technicians representing ETG in the Sunshine Coast region, with genuine opportunities to grow into a senior role as the business expands.

The Prospect

We’re commencing a major commercial project in Maroochydore and are looking for a motivated technician to become our local Sunshine Coast representative.

You’ll work across a diverse range of commercial projects, including security, networking, AV, commercial audio and feature lighting installations, while helping establish ETG’s long‑term presence in the region.

Key Responsibilities

- Installation and commissioning of CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems
- Structured cabling, CAT6/CAT6A and fibre optic installations
- Installation of commercial Audio Visual systems
- Installation and commissioning of commercial audio systems
- Installation of feature and architectural LED lighting systems
- Installation of LED display and digital signage solutions
- Network equipment installation and basic configuration
- Fault finding, maintenance and service work
- Reading plans, specifications and construction drawings
- Maintaining high-quality documentation and commissioning records
- Working professionally with builders, consultants and clients
- Delivering projects safely, efficiently and to ETG’s high standards

About You

- Have experience within the security, communications, AV or electrical industries
- Take pride in producing high-quality workmanship
- Be capable of working independently and managing their workload
- Have excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills




- Communicate professionally with clients and project teams
- Be reliable, organised and accountable
- Have a positive attitude and a willingness to continue learning new technologies
- Current Open Security Licence (or ability to obtain)
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- White Card
- Experience working on commercial technology installations
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team

Highly Regarded

- Commercial installations
- Experience with Hikvision, Bosch, Inner Range, or similar platforms Experience with commercial AV and DSP systems
- Networking knowledge (routers, switches, IP addressing and Wi-Fi)
- EWP Licence
- First Aid & CPR
