About the Role Workfast is seeking an experienced Maintenance & Asset Coordinator for a Drive in, Drive out (DIDO) position supporting major underground coal operations in Emerald. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be the vital link between our clients, field teams, and head office.

- $70 - $75 / hr + Super
- Full-time / Contract

This role combines technical expertise, operational leadership, and commercial awareness. You will take ownership of the lifecycle management and performance of our underground mining fleet, ensuring equipment remains secure, reliable, and highly productive.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate maintenance planning, overhauls, component replacements, and lifecycle management across a large underground mining fleet.
- Monitor equipment reliability, prepare maintenance schedules, and manage spare parts, inventory, and warranty claims.
- Lead weekly operational reviews covering equipment availability, forecasting, and budgets.
- Build strong client relationships, acting as a trusted operational and commercial point of contact.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company, contractual, and legislative safety requirements.

About You:

- Demonstrated experience working with Underground Coal Mining equipment.




- Proven background in maintenance planning, asset management, and equipment lifecycles.
- Sound commercial understanding, including budgeting, forecasting, and contract performance.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Highly Regarded: A relevant trade qualification, or qualifications in Asset Management, Project Management, or Contract Management.
