Our facility is designed using the household model of care.This fosters a warm, family-like atmosphere where we strive to ensure every resident feels at home.We have single rooms, and our facility is currently undergoing a room refurbishment to ensure our facilities are modernised.

Position Overview:

As a Care Worker, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care to residents living in our aged care facility. Your support enables residents to retain independence and maximise their quality of life in a protected and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- You’ll provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life
- Providing daily living assistance such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and with general mobility
- Assisting with medication and simple wound dressings and
- Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Hold a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing), or equivalent qualification.
- Must have 3-6 months experience in Aged Care or Community Care.
- Experience in memory support or household living model is highly desirable.
- Must have 3-6 months experience in Aged Care or Community Care.
- Be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, and you will be able to live Uniting's everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
- Provide a culturally safe and inclusive work environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing shifts if required.
- A genuine passion for elderly care, empathy, patience, and strong communication skills.
