About the Role
ACESGroup is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to work closely with the General Manager - Aviation and lead aviation operations at Western Sydney International Airport.
You will oversee day-to-day operational delivery, support frontline leaders and teams, and ensure the operation runs safely, efficiently and in line with aviation, client and company requirements.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being visible across the operation, making sound decisions under pressure, and responding to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The role is predominantly Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to support operational requirements, including early starts, late finishes, weekends and other coverage as needed.
As the Operations Manager (Aviation),
you will play a key role in coordinating operational delivery, maintaining service standards and supporting continuous improvement across the team. Duties include:
- Leading daily operational planning and rostering
- Supporting frontline teams and supervisors
- Monitoring performance, compliance and service standards
- Managing incidents, escalations and operational issues
- Coordinating resources, priorities and stakeholder communication
- Supporting reporting, documentation and continuous improvement
- Maintaining a safe, professional and efficient work environment
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in operations management, ideally within aviation, transport, security or another fast-paced regulated environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills, including experience supporting supervisors and frontline teams
- Sound knowledge of safety, compliance and operational procedures
- Strong incident management, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High level of organisation, attention to detail and accountability
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and adapt to changing operational priorities
- Flexibility to support operational requirements outside standard Monday to Friday hours when needed
- Current driver’s licence or transport access as required
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain required aviation clearances,
security clearances and other site-specific screening requirements
- Ability to meet pre-employment requirements, including background checks, medical assessment and any other checks applicable to the role
