Queensland

Talent Right has partnered exclusively with TigerPak to recruit a Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across Western Brisbane.

It's an opportunity to continue building an established portfolio of clients, develop long-term customer relationships, and become the face of one of Australia's leading suppliers of packaging materials, warehouse consumables, and safety products. If you're a true hunter who enjoys opening doors, meeting customers face-to-face, and turning opportunities into long-term partnerships, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

About TigerPak

TigerPak is an Australian-owned family business that has grown to become one of Australia's leading distributors of packaging materials, warehouse consumables, safety supplies, marking and identification products, and workplace essentials.

Since commencing operations in 2002, TigerPak has experienced solid national growth through its commitment to quality products, competitive pricing, and its promise of exceptional customer service. Today, the business operates strategically located branches across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia, allowing customers to receive fast, accurate, and reliable service wherever they operate.

Supplying businesses across warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, transport, construction, food production, and industrial sectors, TigerPak has become the trusted supply partner for organisations that rely on dependable service and strong customer relationships to keep their operations moving.

What sets TigerPak apart is its sales culture, rather than simply selling products, their team focuses on understanding each customer's business, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, and building long-term partnerships that create value for both the customer and the business.

About the Role

You will be responsible for continued growth within the Western QLD territory, working closely with two other BDM's who manage the Northern and Southern QLD territories.

This is a genuine expansion opportunity created to capture significant untapped market potential while supporting the company's continued growth throughout Queensland.

Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager, you'll take ownership of a well-established territory covering Western Brisbane, from Greenbank, Sunnybank and surrounding suburbs. You'll inherit an existing portfolio of approximately 60 active customers while developing relationships with more than 2,000 prospective businesses across the region.

The opportunity is substantial, the territory already generates significant recurring monthly revenue, however TigerPak believes there is clear room for growth, with the successful Business Development Manager expected to substantially increase territory performance over time.

This is a true field-based sales role where your success comes from being in front of customers. You'll spend your days visiting warehouses,

manufacturing facilities and industrial businesses, building relationships with Warehouse Managers, Purchasing Officers and operational decision-makers who influence purchasing decisions.

Rather than delivering lengthy sales presentations, your role is to get in front of decision makers and find out how they operate by asking thoughtful discovery questions, walk warehouse floors, identify operational pain points, understand current supplier relationships, and position TigerPak's products and service as a better solution.

Customer meetings are typically short but practical conversations allowing you to maximise your time in the field while consistently building your pipeline and uncovering new opportunities.

This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys prospecting, doesn't shy away from cold approaches, and understands that consistent activity, quality conversations, and strong follow-up are what ultimately create long-term success.

How the Sales Team Works

You'll work closely with a dedicated Account Manager who will assist in booking client meetings, provides administrative support, prepares quotations, coordinates customer requests, and manages much of the day-to-day account administration, allowing you to spend more time where you create the greatest value—in front of customers.

Your typical day begins in the office between 8:00am and 9:30am before heading into your territory to conduct approximately 8-10 short customer visits per day. You'll generally return to the office later in the afternoon to complete follow-up activity, review opportunities, prepare pricing, and plan the following day's customer visits.

You'll also receive ongoing support from an experienced and highly supportive Regional Sales Manager who regularly works alongside his Queensland sales team and is passionate about developing high-performing Business Development Managers.

About You

You're a genuine hunter who enjoys opening doors—both literally and figuratively.

You don't wait for opportunities to come to you, you're naturally curious, enjoy asking great questions and genuinely like meeting new people. Whether you're walking into a warehouse for the first time or following up an opportunity you've been nurturing for weeks, you're comfortable initiating conversations and building trust quickly.

- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills

- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Self-motivation, resilience and a results-focused mindset

Experience selling products into warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, industrial or trade-related industries would be highly regarded. However, product knowledge is less important than your ability to connect with Warehouse Managers, Purchasing Officers and operational decision-makers, understand their business, and build lasting customer relationships.
