About the Role

As the National Events Coordinator, you will lead the planning and delivery of high-quality events that bring Compassion Australia's mission to life. Working as part of the Events Centre of Excellence and reporting to the Senior Partnership Manager – Events, Artists & Influencers, you will take ownership of allocated events from concept through to evaluation, coordinating everything from venues and suppliers to budgets, run sheets and onsite logistics. You'll manage event timelines and workflows, partner closely with churches, venues,suppliersand volunteers, and provide onsite leadership to ensure every event runs smoothly. You'll also help shape and refine Compassion's event frameworks and templates, supporting other teams across the organisation to delivergreat eventexperiences of their own.

It's a role for a natural project manager who thrives on detail, stays calm under pressure, and wants to use their organisational and event-planning skills to help release children from poverty in Jesus' name.

Key Accountabilities

- Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery ofallocatedevents, frominitialconcept through to post-event evaluation.
- Manage event timelines, projectplansand workflows in Asana, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.




- Coordinate all eventlogistics, including venues, suppliers, catering, production, AV,traveland accommodation.
- Develop and manage event budgets, purchaseordersand invoices, ensuringaccuratefinancial reconciliation.
- Prepare event documentation including run sheets, riskassessmentsand operational schedules.
- Coordinate volunteer requirements in partnership with the Volunteer Manager.
- Provide onsite leadership during events, ensuring smooth operations and effective issue resolution.
- Support the implementation of Compassion's event frameworks,templatesand best practices, andmaintainan up-to-date database of suppliers and venues.
- Build trusted relationships with churches, venues,suppliersand internal stakeholders to deliver seamless event experiences.

WhatYou’llBring

- Proven experience delivering end-to-end events, ideally across multiple complex projects simultaneouslywith competing deadlines.
- Robust project management and organisational skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Advanced skills inproject management softwareAsana or equivalent.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage suppliers and external partners.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt under pressure.




- Financial administration experience, including budgeting and reconciliation.
- Working knowledge of event risk management, WHS requirements, and CRM or event registration platforms.
- Experience working across cross-functional teams, with the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively.
