We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Mining Engineer to join the team at Dugald River Mine.
Reporting to the Senior Mine Planning Engineer, you will support production activities with appropriate plans and reports to deliver development and production targets. The role is based on an 8/6 roster and can be DIDO from Cloncurry or Mount Isa or FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane.
Qualifications, Competencies & Knowledge
- Minimum of 2 years underground metalliferous mining experience
- Technical experience, especially in mine scheduling and planning, will be well regarded.
- Practical underground experience will be well regarded.
- Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering (Essential)
- Queensland Explosives Security Clearance (QESC) will be well regarded.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of Deswik CAD and Sched. Deswik Ops is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively with mining operations, geology, geotechnical, ventilation, short-term engineers and survey
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate, timely mine operating plans, designs, schedules and budget inputs.
- Produce stope notes, development designs and supporting planning documentation.
- Support the preparation and delivery of weekly and 13‑week planning schedules.
- Translate long‑term mine plans into practical medium‑term and short‑term execution plans.
- Regular QAQC to ensure work is delivered in alignment with plan.
- Provide support for business improvement initiatives.
- Consistently demonstrate behaviours that align with MMG Values and Code of Conduct.
