The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Warehouse Shift Leader (Afternoon) to join our Toowoomba Operations team.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities across the afternoon shift, ensuring operations run efficiently, safely, and accurately. Acting as the key link between frontline teams and management, you’ll lead from the floor—driving performance, supporting your team, and ensuring service levels and safety standards are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations across receiving, pick/pack, dispatch, and inventory functions
- Lead daily pre-start meetings, communicate priorities, safety updates, and KPIs
- Supervise, coach, and support team members to deliver strong performance and engagement
- Monitor workflow and adjust resources to meet deadlines and service levels
- Maintain high standards of safety, ensuring WHS compliance and a zero-harm culture
- Ensure inventory accuracy through effective processes, cycle counts, and discrepancy resolution
- Analyse operational performance data and drive continuous improvement initiatives




- Support smooth shift handovers and collaborate with leadership on operational outcomes

About You

You are a proactive and hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You bring strong operational knowledge, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to motivate and develop a team.

You will also have:

- 2–5+ years’ experience in warehouse or logistics operations
- Demonstrated leadership experience (Supervisor or Leading Hand)
- Experience operating at or equivalent to a Grade 4 Storeperson level
- Current Forklift Licence (LF) – essential
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, systems, and equipment
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- A high level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions
