Townsville | Field Service & Workshop | OT + Travel Opportunities

Not every mechanic wants to spend every day in the same workshop.

This role offers a genuine mix of workshop, field service and breakdown work, maintaining a specialised fleet of road construction equipment across North Queensland. You'll work on everything from routine servicing through to major rebuilds, with the opportunity to travel to regional projects when required.

The Role

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of construction equipment and heavy vehicles, including:

- Servicing, maintenance and fault diagnosis
- Major component rebuilds and engine overhauls
- Workshop repairs and scheduled maintenance
- Field service and breakdown support across North Queensland
- Completing maintenance records and workshop documentation




- Working safely while delivering quality workmanship

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys getting stuck in and takes pride in their work. Ideally you'll have:

- Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic trade qualification
- Experience maintaining heavy vehicles, mobile plant or construction equipment
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel when required
