About the Research Office

The UTS Research Office has a critical place in UTS' ambitions by enabling a unified, strategic and proactive research support ecosystem from ideation to impact; delivering tailored, expert partnering services; ensuring proactive operational excellence through specialist expertise and a culture of capability uplift and innovation and amplifying UTS' research visibility and influence.

The Research Stewardship Team supports this endeavour within its remit of research ethics, research integrity, research risk, and national security.

About the role

The Research Administrator (Research Ethics) reports to the Manager, Research Ethics and is responsible for a provision of a wide range of research administrative support within the Research Ethics unit including initial triaging, monitoring, committee meeting organisation, insurance notifications, inbox and correspondence management and event management.

If successful in applying for this role, you will be responsible for:

- Providing high quality and efficient administrative support for the Research Ethics unit,



other areas of the Research Stewardship Team and the broader Research Office as required.
- Undertaking records keeping activities and ensuring that all official and required records are entered into UTS Content Manager and are compliant.
- Providing administrative support to all aspects of the ethics application process and committee management including triaging, monitoring and data entry.
- Assisting with the development of standard office processes and procedures.

- A high level of accuracy, literacy, numeracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to work effectively and flexibly within a team environment.
- Experience working in a high-volume environment, ideally in a university, research institute, or higher education setting.

Remuneration & Benefits

Base Salary Range: $78,352 to $83,807 pa (HEW 4)

This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

The role is eligible for hybrid working arrangements, however,



it is an expectation that the incumbent attends in-person regularly (i.e. 3-days per week).

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
