Hawkins Transport QLD are seeking a motivated Forklift Operator / Freight Handler to join their Brisbane Depot, based in Acacia Ridge, for general and refrigerated freight service to regional and remote communities.
The role:
Receive from the Depot Supervisor daily tasks, load plans and general duties and perform them as instructed and within company policy
Flexible to work on a Roster
Previous experience in a similar role
Safety first approach and demonstrate WHS practices and procedures consistently
Loading and unload general freight of various sizes in a safe and compliant manner
Be able to handle freight items manually and safely as required
Accurately sort and load freight into designated areas and onto delivery vehicles with a high degree of accuracy
Ensure that all consignments have con notes prepared and are stickered for delivery destination
Ensure the safe and responsible handling and loading of consignments to eliminate damage before and during transit.
Ensure loads are completed within the scheduled time frame for truck departure.
Maintain Depot grounds and safe working workplace.
Collection and delivery of customer freight
