We are seeking experienced support workers to work with a young male participant.

This participant requires support workers who are energetic, positive, engaging, and passionate about working with complex disabilities.

The most successful support workers for this participant are those who can think on their feet, take initiative, and actively create opportunities for this participant to participate in meaningful activities both at home and within the community.

Due to the participant’s communication style, support workers must be attentive to non-verbal cues, body language, behaviours,



and emotional responses. The ability to recognise when the participant is happy, frustrated, overwhelmed, engaged, or requiring support is essential.

We are seeking support workers who are:

- Fun, engaging, and energetic
- Patient, calm, and understanding.
- Confident supporting people with complex disabilities.
- Able to build rapport and trust through positive interactions.
- Skilled at recognising and responding to non-verbal communication.
- Proactive and motivated to create meaningful opportunities for participation.
- Able to encourage skill development and capacity building in a way that is enjoyable and appropriate.
- Friendly, approachable, and able to work collaboratively with family members.
- Flexible and creative in their approach to support.

You’ll work alongside a tight-knit, collaborative team that shares insight, plans together, and backs each other.

Requirements for the role:

- Experienced in high care
- Cert III Disability or other relevant qualification is highly regarded
- Must hold valid working with children check
- Must hold valid NDIS Workers' screening check
- Must hold valid First Aid and CPR certificates
