Blue Wren House, Camden Women’s Shelter provides a safe place for women and families experiencing domestic violence and homelessness. We support women and children to rebuild their lives through our crisis accommodation and outreach services.

We are recruiting a full time Caseworker to work with women and children who are homeless in a crisis accommodation setting in the Camden LGA. Flexibility for early mornings, evenings and on-call shifts are essential.

An understanding of the homelessness sector, awareness around current issues and practice in domestic violence and good knowledge of housing pathways are key skills for this role.

ESSENTIAL Criteria

Cert IV in Community Services or Minimum 5 years’ experience working with women who are homeless.

Demonstrated experience within the community services sector in a caseworker capacity, preferably in women’s services.

Knowledge of the dynamics and impact of homelessness, domestic and family violence, the impacts of trauma on women and how to best support survivors.

An understanding of Workplace Health and Safety procedures.

Excellent written and communication skills.

Ability to use online case management systems.





Current Senior First Aid certificate or capacity to acquire one before commencement.

Current Working with Children Check.

National Police Check.
