We are pleased to partner with our waste management company in Yennora NSW for an Accounts Receivable Officer to join their team.Ideally, you will be familiar with liquid waste as this will facilitate a smoother transition to the role and allow easier adaptation, particularly as they are rolling out a new operating and finance system.

Key responsibilities

- Process high volumes of invoices
- Generate and issue credit notes
- Ensure customers are billed correctly and respond to queries promptly via email and phone.
- Identify and resolve invoicing and data processing issues
- Interpret operational processes, job management systems, and contracts to facilitate accurate invoicing
- Manage month-end processes, including sales accruals and customer spend analysis
- Collate disposal/destruction of documents
- Maintain updated customer records and terms
- Support with the update of commission sheets
- Maintain accurate filing of all invoices
- Debtors Management - daily debtor contact and attendance/leading weekly debtor meetings
- Customer credit management including credit assessments, customer setup and preparation of Credit Terms letters for issuance
- Process daily credit card charges for services as payment in advance

Qualifications & Experience

- 3-5 years' experience in accounts receivable
- Experience in liquid waste is highly regarded




- Ideally bookkeeping certificate
- Proficiency in accounting software (MYOB) and Excel skills

You must have experience from one of the following industries

- Hazardous and dangerous waste
- Waste management (solid waste, recycling and resource recovery)
- Product destruction and secure destruction
- Environmental services
- Drainage, sewer and septic services
- Fuel or bulk liquid transport
- Transport and logistics businesses with complex operational documentation

The key capability we're looking for is someone who has experience preparing invoices supported by operational documentation such as service dockets, proof of delivery, weighbridge tickets, consignment notes, disposal documentation or similar. You will also need to be comfortable working closely with operations to ensure all supporting documentation is complete and accurate before invoices are issued.
