Ally Infrastructure Pty Ltd – Smithfield NSW

We are a growing civil engineering and construction company delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across NSW, QLD, ACT, and VIC. Our team is passionate about building better communities and providing practical, long-term engineering career pathways.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a motivated and organised Utility Works Scheduler to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys coordination, scheduling, and customer interaction, and is keen to build their experience in the utilities or infrastructure sector.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in coordinating customer gas pipeline and connection works—keeping jobs on track and working closely with internal teams and contractors to ensure smooth delivery.

You will be part of a stable and supportive team that works collaboratively toward a shared goal, in a fast-paced environment where your contribution helps deliver essential infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Schedule and reschedule customer gas connection and pipeline works (e.g., new service lines, main extensions, civil excavations, and subcontractor tasks).
- Book appointments with gas technicians, field crews,

and civil contractors within required timeframes.
- Manage multiple jobs at different stages of the pipeline installation and connection process, keeping work progressing efficiently.
- Assist with billing processes and invoice approvals.
- Act as a key contact for customers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Track progress and ensure all asset data and job notes are accurate and up to date.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Proven Scheduling or Coordination Experience: Demonstrated experience managing field crew diaries, civil contractors, or dispatch operations in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly and confidently liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders, including residential customers, property developers, civil subcontractors, and field technicians.
- Tech Savviness: Proficiency with work order management systems, project management software (i.e Upvise/Dashpivot) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Problem-Solving Ability: A proactive approach to handling shifting priorities, weather delays, and urgent scheduling changes.
