A. I. Air Conditioning is seeking a Trade Assistance & Apprentice to join our team on a full-time basis at our Eight Mile Plains, QLD location. This is an excellent prospect for someone looking to launch a career in the building trades, specifically within the air conditioning and refrigeration industry. You will work alongside experienced technicians, gaining practical hands‑on experience whilst completing your formal apprenticeship qualifications. This role is fundamental to supporting our service delivery and developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople within our organisation.

What you’ll be doing

- Assisting qualified technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems
- Learning to safely use tools and equipment commonly used in the air conditioning trade
- Preparing work sites and ensuring they are kept clean and organised throughout projects
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment from work vehicles
- Supporting technicians with basic diagnostic work and system testing under supervision
- Helping to maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
- Attending training courses and theoretical instruction as part of your apprenticeship programme
- Following all health and safety protocols and contributing to a safe working environment
- Developing customer service skills through interaction with clients at job sites

What we’re looking for

- School certificate or equivalent qualification, demonstrating competency in English and Mathematics
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in the air conditioning and refrigeration trades
- Willingness to learn and develop practical skills under the guidance of experienced tradespeople




- Good physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces
- A valid driver's licence and access to reliable transport to travel between job sites
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to complete a formal apprenticeship programme in air conditioning and refrigeration
- Reliability and punctuality are essential
