About the role

Casual School Aged Care Centre Educators play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children during out-of-school hours. You’ll assist in planning and delivering fun, age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development. Your responsibilities will include supervising children, fostering positive relationships, and ensuring their wellbeing at all times. This flexible role allows you to work across before-school, after-school, and vacation care programs, contributing to a dynamic and inclusive team dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families.

Casual employees who are approved to work nominate preferred work locations and provide their availability through our Casual Relief System (CRS) and may be called upon,



on an as-needed basis in accordance with operational needs and employee availability and preference.

Qualifications

- ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage positively with colleagues and students.
- Ability to apply experience, knowledge, and training to plan and organise to achieve outcomes within time constraints.
- Ability to apply initiative to manage competing priorities.

Other Eligibility Criteria

- You must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident or be in Australia on a visa with work rights to be eligible to apply for this position.
- Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.
