Engineering / Supply Chain Support Officer

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Engineering / Supply Chain Support Officer to join our team in Somersby. This is a diverse role that bridges engineering, production, and procurement, ensuring materials, documentation, and workflows are aligned to support efficient manufacturing operations.

You will support inventory and purchasing activities, liaise with domestic and international suppliers, and freight forwarders, maintaining accurate records, and helping deliver products on time while maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), part numbers, and manufacturing data within the ERP/MRP system.
- Monitor the FDB queue throughout the day, printing job cards and engineering drawings for the production team.
- Ensure engineering dates on jobs are achieved.
- Document control, following naming and filing conventions
- Liaise with local suppliers to obtain quotations, monitor deliveries, and resolve supply issues.
- Raise purchase orders and monitor procurement activities to ensure material availability.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, warehousing, and purchasing teams to resolve operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with company quality systems, safety requirements, and manufacturing procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance supply chain efficiency.

About You

- You are highly organized, enjoy solving problems, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You can manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and strong communication across multiple departments.
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, or production support environment.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering documentation.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems.




- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.High attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Qualification in Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- Experience with inventory management and procurement processes.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement principles.
