Experienced Occupational Therapist – NDIS and Disability

Meta Healthcare is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Blacktown.

We are looking for a capable clinician with strong functional assessment skills, sound clinical judgement and confidence managing complex disability presentations.

You will manage a wide-ranging paediatric and adult caseload across clinic and community settings. Wherever possible, your caseload will be aligned with your experience and clinical interests.

The Role

- Complete comprehensive functional and occupational therapy assessments
- Work with both paediatric and adult clients
- Prepare Functional Capacity Assessments and other NDIS reports
- Assess daily living skills, routines, mobility, cognition, sensory needs, safety and community participation
- Develop goal-based interventions that build independence and everyday living skills
- Assess clients for assistive technology and equipment
- Provide home-modification recommendations where appropriate
- Support clients with emotional regulation, sensory processing and participation
- Identify support needs and provide evidence-based recommendations
- Deliver services across clinic, home, school, workplace and community settings
- Manage complex disability presentations and make sound clinical decisions
- Maintain high-quality clinical notes, reports and recommendations
- Communicate with clients, families, support coordinators, plan managers and other professionals
- Contribute to case discussions and clinical development within the Allied Health Team

About You

You are an experienced Occupational Therapist with strong clinical judgement, clear communication and a high standard of professional practice.

You will have:

- Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
- At least three years of clinical occupational therapy experience
- Strong functional assessment and clinical reasoning skills




- Confidence managing complex disability and functional presentations
- Strong intervention planning and case-management skills
- Excellent clinical documentation and report-writing skills
- The ability to manage your caseload independently
- The ability to communicate clearly with clients, families and skilled stakeholders
- Current Australian working rights
- A current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle

Experience working with either paediatric or adult clients is essential. Experience across both populations is highly regarded.

Experience in NDIS, paediatrics, neurological disability, psychosocial disability, sensory processing, assistive technology, home modifications or Functional Capacity Assessments will be valued.

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Current AHPRA registration
- Current Australian working rights
- Current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one
- Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
- Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
- First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain them
- Medicare Provider Number, or capacity to obtain one
